StressOutDays
Company Workshops 2024-2025
Stress regulation & personal boundaries setting at the workplace
Stress itself needs no introduction. It has become such an integral part of our lives that we’ve grown accustomed to it and may, at times, even seek it out unconsciously.
In this two-part workshop, we will explore stress from a novel perspective. We’ll examine its positive aspects and adaptive features, as well as distinguish between healthy and unhealthy stress. Building on the latest research findings in neuropsychology, the workshop will deepen our understanding of how the body forms and responds to stress reactions. Supported by practical techniques, we will focus on proven methods to help you manage stress with ease and confidence.
Our primary focus will be on providing an in-depth look at one of the leading causes of workplace stress: mismanagement of personal boundaries. This includes the lack of boundary-setting, miscommunication around boundaries, and developing appropriate responses when boundaries are crossed.
Agenda
Part 1
Part 1 will introduce you to the theory of stress management by addressing the following questions:
- What occurs in our bodies when we experience stress?
- What are the functions of stress, and how can it benefit us?
- What do the terms ‘Eustress’ and ‘Chronic Stress’ mean?
- What are the consequences of mismanaging personal boundaries in the workplace?
- What is the essence and protective value of personal boundaries?
- What types of boundaries exist?
- What are the principles of boundary communication, and what constitutes a violation?
